The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is located in SeaTac, Washington. The airport has service to destinations throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East and East Asia. In 2012, the airport served over 33.2 million passengers, making it the 16th-busiest airport in the United States The airport is the largest generator of vehicle trips in the state, and its 13,000-car parking garage is recognized as the world´s largest parking structure under one roof. The airport was constructed by the Port of Seattle in 1944 to serve civilians of the region, after the U.S. military took control of Boeing Field for use in World War II. The Port received $1 million from the Civil Aeronautics Administration to build the airport, and $100,000 from the City of Tacoma. The first scheduled airline flights were Northwest and Trans-Canada in 1947. From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle%E2%80%93Tacoma_International_Airport

Rutan Model 76 Voyager (Replica): The Model 76 Voyager was the first round the world non-stop, non-refueled flight. Piloted by Dick Rutan and Jeana Yeager, the plane began its flight on December 14, 1986 and after 9 days, 3 minutes, and 44 seconds landed on December 23 back at Edwards Air Force Base -- the same place it started. The plane is largely made of fiberglass, carbon fiber and Kevlar and had an estimated lift to drag ratio of 21. Two different engines provided power to the front and rear propellers. The front engine, an air-cooled Teledyne Continental O-240 was operate to provide extra power for take-off and during the initial flight stage while the plane was heavily loaded with fuel. The rear engine is a water-cooled Teledyne Continental IOL-200 which acted as the main source of power throughout the flight. The Museum´s replica of the Rutan Model 76 Voyager can be found on display in the main terminal at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
