Water Tower (III) |
The Water Tower has two differentiated areas, its external appearance and its interior, functional configuration, base and tower.
The base is made up of three floors, two of which are underground and the ground floor above.
The base includes the column of the tower, which rises to a height of 70 metres above ground level. The structure of the inner nucleus of the building is formed by reinforced concrete slabs held up by pillars with concrete walls that enclose the communication centres. The façade comprises a glazed curtain wall.

"Splash" (III) |
Splash represents the powerful hold of water on our collective imagination, and the magnified importance of even the tiniest amount of water. Advanced digital animation and modeling programs were applied to understand the form resulting when the inherent fluid dynamics governing a falling drop of water collide with the earth´s primal forces including gravity, wind and heat.
The sublime violence, power and vitality implied by the tension, cohesion and fragmentation of this single drop is displayed in a 15 meter diameter array consisting of 135 unique forms rising up to 20 meters overhead.
