Therapy consists in extraction of the foreign body and a suture of the perforation wound as well as local antibiotic therapy.
Multiple superficial foreign bodies in cornea and conjunctiva after an explosion of concrete which happened ten years before this picture was taken. The visual acuity was not affected but the epithelium and the Bowmann membrane of the cornea. Due to the patient tolerating the foreign body extremely well and good visual acuity, therapy was not required.
