Cystic nevus of the conjunctiva

Melanocytic nevus showing moderately prominence and slightly pigmentation, occurring between the plica semilunaris (left) and the sclero-corneal limbus (right). Within this benign pigmented process, multiple pseudocysts containing mucin secreted by goblet cells- are seen. Such cysts formation is a very common finding in conjunctival nevus and seen well over 50% of cases, particularly among functional and compound nevi. No therapy is required but regularly controls with photographic documentation.
