One of the features that truly distinguishes MotorLand Aragón is its Technology Park. The park will be a specialist area with state-of-the-art facilities for firms and organisations operating in the motor industry a strong sector in the region of Aragón where important manufacturers, technology centres and research institutes are located.
With a total area of 212,344 m2, the Technology Park will include research, educational and certification facilities and will also act to foster the development of technologies and their subsequent transfer between companies and organisations.
On 18 March 2010, Motorland Aragón was announced as a replacement for the Balatonring on the 2010 MotoGP calendar. Aragón was already in place as a reserve event and replaces the Hungarian race which was postponed because of overrunning construction work. The Aragon motorcycle Grand Prix is the fourth Spanish race on the calendar. The circuit will become a long-term reserve option for the championship, agreeing a five-year deal with series rights-holders Dorna Sports.
